Triathletes World Magazine Mid Week Final Race Results

Many thanks for a great event yesterday. It was great to see so many first timers take up the sport and experience the challenge of multisport events.

We hope that the faster competitors taking part inspired and gave everyone a good target to aim for in future events.

This was final Triathletes World Mid Week Event to take place in 2010. From the feedback and responses that were received, next year’s mid week events, which will also combine an open water swim on the same evening, will certainly be well received

Last night also saw Berkshire Tri Squad have their end of year club championships. This was a hotly contested race with nearly all!!! Members wearing their distinctive club kit, which allowed fellow members keep track of where they were on the course.

The overall winners of the night fort it out from the start to the finish, and with them both being called Sam, it was difficult to know who everyone was cheering for, but it certainly made them both keep on each other’s shoulders until the last couple of 100 metres, where Sam Gardner made a dash for the line, with Sam Dell following very close behind.

This is Sam Dells first season in triathlon and has already made good impressions on the triathlon circuit with some impressive performances – he still does not have a club, if anyone wants to snap him up.

Sam Gardner, we found out was actually a Berkshire Tri Squad member and thus the new club champion. He now heads of to Switzerland for the next instalment of the World Xterra Triathlon Series, so good luck.

Shiplake College - Henley On Thames - Event Two - RESULTS

ROAD WORKS AND DIVERSIONS FOR SHIPLAKE TRIATHLON

Just in case you are travelling to the Shiplake Triathlon this Sunday, we have just found out that the A404 (M) from the M4 J8/9 could be shut and diversions will be in place.

This will only put about 10 minutes onto your journey, but do not rush or worry, as we can just slot you into to another wave when you arrive...
