Dorney \u2013 as Dorney Lake was known during London 2012 &#8211; held 30 events throughout the Olympics, with Team GB taking a total of 12 medals.\u00a0Soak up the atmosphere and invoke their heroics to inspire you to a new PB!<\/p>\n<p>The Dorney Lake course is nestled amongst 450 acres of glorious parkland &#8211; including an Arboretum and Nature Conservation area &#8211; whilst being just a few miles from Windsor and a short drive from Heathrow airport and West London.<\/p>\n<p>Event merchandise is available for purchase during registration for delivery by the following weekend when Entry includes day membership for non-BTF members which will be provided on event day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bib Numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bib numbers<\/strong>\u00a0(and bike stickers where applicable) are available for collection at the event only, participants should not expect to receive anything by mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and\u00a0communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rewards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All finishers will\u00a0receive a\u00a0<strong>medal<\/strong>\u00a0on completing their event and,\u00a0subject to a competitive field of participants,\u00a0p<strong>rizes<\/strong>\u00a0may be available for the top three places overall &#8211; and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40\/V50\/V60\/V70) &#8211; for both females and males\u00a0at each distance. Winners will be notified via email by the end of the following week once results are considered final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pacers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pacers will not be offered at this event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Medical Cover<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Suitable<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>medical cover<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is provided at our events in case of a medical emergency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bag Drop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whilst we recommend bringing as little as possible, runners can leave essential\u00a0belongings with us using the tear-off baggage strip on their bib.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Photography<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Event images are expected to be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theraceorganiser.com\/calendars\/sport-events\/photos\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/www.theraceorganiser.com\/calendars\/sport-events\/photos\">available<\/a>, usually within 24 hours of the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Water Stations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Water\u00a0<\/strong>will be available on the Run routes only. Duathlon participants must\u00a0carry with them anything necessary\u00a0to refuel and hydrate during the Bike leg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toilets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toilets will be available around the start\/finish area\u00a0for use throughout the event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Changing Rooms\/Showers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are no dedicated\u00a0c<strong>hanging rooms\/showers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wheelchairs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event is suitable for\u00a0<strong>wheelchair users.\u00a0<\/strong>Any participants wishing to compete with specialised equipment are asked to contact us before entering to ensure we can accommodate any additional requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buggies<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Pushchairs and Strollers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As UK Athletics licensed events, the pushing of persons in any device in the Run Categories is prohibited under the UKA Rules of Competition &#8211; including, but not limited to &#8211; buggies, pushchairs, strollers (or similar) and wheelchairs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spectators<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Spectators are permitted at this event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Earphones\/Headphones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Noise-cancelling\u00a0earphones\/headphones\u00a0are prohibited and, whilst we discourage the use of other earphones\/headphones in running events, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a low enough volume that instructions from event officials can be clearly understood.<\/p>\n<p>The use of<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>earphones\/headphones\u00a0is prohibited throughout the Duathlon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dogs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participants must not be accompanied by a personally owned or controlled dog during an event.
