Shiplake College - Henley On Thames Event One

Congratulations to everyone that took part in the first event at Shiplake College, Henley on Thames Triathlon yesterday. It was great to see so many first time triathletes taking part, plus regulars on the triathlon events circuit competing for overall places.

With waves of circa 16 participants being set off at the same time it made for safe, but competitive racing. The outdoor heated swimming pool made a good start to the event with just over 100 metre run the transition area through the college grounds.

Out on to the bike saw athletes take a very simple out and back bike course that allowed everyone to keep an on each other and gain those vital seconds before heading out on to the run.

The run meandered through the village of Shiplake lake before heading back through the college grounds and onto the finish in front of the cricket pavilion.

The next F3 Event to take place is the very popular Mid Week Triathlon at Dorney Lake, that see 250 participants make full use of the 2012 Olympic Rowing Venue.

If you are looking for one of the premier events along the Thames Valley, we would highly recommend the Marlow Sprint River Triathlon that is perfect for all levels of participant and set in the heart of the picturesque towns of Marlow.

Entries will soon close for the Henley Shiplake College Triathlon

We have noticed an error on the site that had shown the entrants listing for a couple of events, that is showing incorrect information.

This is being sorted out, and want to stress that if anyone is looking to enter the first ever Shiplake College Henley on Thames Tri a triathlon, we recommend that you enter soon to not be disappointed.

With triathlon growing in the UK at an incredible rate, it is good to see more events being added to the calendar, but they will all fill up fast.

Optegra Henley Triathlon - May 30th

The season will be in full swing from this weekend onwards, and entries for events will fill up fast.

The Optegra Shiplake College Henley Triathlon is the perfect event for first time triathletes or experienced participants to test there speed over a shorter distance.

Entries are now open for both the Henley Triathlon Events on May 30th and September 5th.

We recommend you enter quickly to not be disappointed.
