Champion of Champions 2009

F3 Events is going to be running the Mid Week Sprint Triathlon Race Series in 2009, which proved to be extremely successful and numbers reaching over 300 for the final race in 2008.

2009 is going to be bigger and better year with more events and with this we have decided to run a Club Champs Series.

The Series will be run over 3 races, with Race 4 being a Final Race Off between Clubs & Club Members.

The Club Champs Series will be valid for Clubs that choose one of the 3 Races as there Club Championships. The Club can then enter members into the Club Champion of champions Final for Overall, Veteran, Junior Categories will then be eligible to enter the Club Champions of Champions Race off in the 4th and Final race on August 5th.

Trophies will be provided with your club engraved, plus a massive overall Trophy and the chance to win £500 for your club for the overall Winning Club (the best placed overall 3 club members)

There is also the F3 Event Sprint Series open to anyone. If you enter 3 out of the 4 races, you will be eligible to win the series, plus large Trophy, Sponsors Prizes and a £250 Voucher.

"The BIG South Swim"

With the popularity of Open Water Swimming in the past year and success from the GB Olympic swimmers, F3 Events is planning on organising "The BIG South Swim" in 2009.

The swim will be an open water swim with two distances of 1.5km and a 3.8km. It will be open to all abilities and really wants to encourage first timers and newbies to open water swimming to enter.

The venue is still to be confirmed, but it will be along the thames valley corridor, as there are plenty of fantastic venues suitable to hold such an event.

More information will be available very soon, both on the F3 Events website and also www.thegreatsouthswim.co.uk, which goes live a few weeks.

2009 Events Update

Many thanks to all that have been patiently waiting for the 2009 Events Calendar to be announced.

They will be put up on the website shortly, and you will see some new events and locations appearing throughout the season.

There will not be a winter series in 2008 being held, but we look to hold a couple of Dualthons and 10km Runs in February, March & April to allow those winter legs to get some race experience.
