The Royal Windsor River Swim - NEW

F3 Events is today announcing what will be one of the premier open water swims of the future. The Royal Windsor River Swim will take place on September 19th 2010 from Alexandra Gardens in the heart of the historic town of Windsor.

Famous for Windsor Castle and other sporting events, this truly is the epicentre of the sporting world. Windsor itself is home to two of the UK’s Top 20 visitor attractions Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor, but there are many more to visit and enjoy throughout the borough. Why not add Eton College, the Changing of the Guard, the Savill Garden, Ascot Racecourse, Royal Windsor Racecourse plus many others, to your itinerary for the perfect trip? It is of course home to the Windsor Half Marathon and Windsor Triathlon which each year attracts 1000’s of participants to experience a sporting challenge.

This will be the first time this event has taken place, and it is expected to sell out fast.

F3 Events is a Thames valley based sporting events business that organises mass participation events. Running, Triathlon, Cycling and now swimming are becoming ever more popular and with the London Olympic Games fast approaching, this is a perfect opportunity for the UKs residents to take part in one of the Olympic disciplines and experience the thrill of achieving a lifelong goal or challenge.

Triathletes World Magazine Mid Week Eton Sprint Series Event 2

Congratulations to everyone that took part in the second of the Triathletes World Magazine Sprint Series at Dorney Lake.

We were very lucky to receive such great weather and this really showed with the number of spectators and particiapants that left work early!!! to take part.

Paul Ambrose entered last minute and used the event as a warm up for this weekends UK 70.3 Half Ironman. He should do fairly well this weekend, as he blitzed the course and won by a comfortable margin, even with slight bronchitis.

We had many first timers take part last night and this is what the events are all about in welcoming new entrants to the sport and taking up the challenge to compete in a multisport event.

Results will be up shortly on www.tri247.com and www.runnersworld.co.uk, plus the F3 Events website.

We will send an email out once we have the full finalised results.

In the meantime if anyone is looking for there next event, then we are pleased to tell you that we have been given the go ahead to run the first ever Marlow River Triathlon on July 18th. Entries are limited to 500 for this year and this event is set to be a big one for future years to come.

Open Water Swimming at Heron Lake is now also open on Monday evening from 6pm - 8pm, which makes it 4 days a week now that you can swim open water. For more details, email us at enquiries@f3events.co.uk and we will be more than happy to help you out.

Thanks again for a great event last night and look forward to seeing you all soon.
