About F3 Events
Offering fun, friendly, family, fast and focused events across the South
F3 Events was set up in 2006 to organise, deliver and provide first class sporting events along the Thames Valley to aspiring athletes from complete beginners to elites. The team at F3 Events have nearly all raced at a high level in triathlon and cycling and understand the necessary requirements to implement a successful event.
Our mission is to provide recognisable and professionally managed events from grass roots upwards at an affordable level which is accessible to all.
Dorney Lake
The sporting world is continually growing, with more and more of the population looking to get fit and take up a challenge to provide a healthier lifestyle. It is this that makes it important to F3 Events that each and every event is a success, and that we play an active role in being an ambassador for sport along the Thames Valley now and in the future.
This has been demonstrated over recent years, with many events throughout the year being organised at the Olympic Rowing venue for 2012, Dorney Lake, all receiving ongoing support from many local authorities, highways agency, rivers authority and the environment agency.
Most importantly this has been reflected in the growing number of participants that continue to take part in F3 Events and the businesses that want to get involved and take an active role in promoting our events.
Over the past few years, F3 Events have organised new events in new locations that had never previously been used for sporting events, triathlons or open water swimming. Since these events have been organised, other events businesses have looked to copy and organise events in the same locations.
Windsor Castle
Notable locations along the Thames Valley include Marlow – with the open water swimming events and triathlons; Henley On Thames at Shiplake College with both open water swimming and triathlon events; and Royal Windsor at the foot of Windsor Castle where F3 Events organised the first ever open water swimming event.
All these events are based along the banks of the River Thames and are located on the same route that David Walliams used for his record breaking swim along the Thames in 2011.
